Hundreds of citizens and visitors of the Belarusian capital have visited the stand of “Belzarubezhstroy” JSC during the 11th National Architecture Festival “Minsk-2015”. Among the honored guests were: Secretary General of the International Union of Architects Mr. Thomas Vonier, delegations of the Embassies of Venezuela and Ecuador, and chief executives of construction enterprises of Belarus and Russia. Our reportage is giving account of the event.

”Belzarubezhstroy” JSC prepared for the festival a stand “Together towards a common goal”, demonstrating the projects which are being designed and have been completed in Belarus, Venezuela and Ecuador.

We would like to remind that the 11th National Architecture Festival “Minsk 2015” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Belarusian Union of Architects and the World Architecture Day was held in the Belarusian capital on September 3-5, 2015, and the stand will continue its work after the Festival until the City Day – September 13.

Hundreds of citizens and visitors of the Belarusian capital visited “BZS” stand during the first two weeks of the Festival.

The Festival was organized by the public association Belarusian Union of Architects, with the support of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction of Belarus, Minsk City Council, International Association of Unions of Architects and Belarusian Unions of Artists and Designers.

It is remarkable that looking at the posters with Belarusian projects in Venezuela, people smiled warmly and said the words which can be understood without translation: “Chaves”, “Comandante”, “amigos”, “venceremos”, which means – we will win!...

The visitors were impressed by the scope of the services provided by “Belzarubezhstroy” JSC. The most popular and talked about were the projects in Venezuela and two projects in Minsk – office and retail building on Kirova str. (on the left side of the picture) and tennis courts on Voropayevskaya street.

The stand was hosted by (from the left): specialists of organization department – translators Maria Kozlova and Darya Evdokimova, as well as а marketing specialist of Design Department Valentina Kliaus. Their main task was to answer the questions of the visitors and to provide information to the industry professionals and prospective partners.

Specialists of “Belzarubezhstroy” JSC, representatives of the Embassies of Ecuador and Venezuela, clients, contractors and representatives of prospective clients of BZS were invited to attend the Festival. On the photo: arrival of the delegation of the Embassy of Ecuador. The Latin Americans were exceptionally punctual, but it wasn’t a coincidence - the members of the delegation were Defense Attaché Colonel Francisco Armendariz (in the center) and Ambassador Carlos Larrea who used to be Minister of Defense of Ecuador (on the right).

Head of Design Department of “Belzarubezhstroy” JSC Vadim Drazhin (on the right) gave a tour of the Festival stand, and First Secretary of the Embassy Fredy Herreria (second on the left) acted as an interpreter.

At the poster with Cement Particle Board Plant in Krichev Vadim Drazhin told us: “Shortly before the Festival an article entitled ”Belzarubezhstroy” JSC: alternative technologies for contemporary construction” was published in “Architecture and Construction” magazine. It described the advantages of permanent formwork technology (VST), its possible applications on Belarusian market, and the first plant manufacturing cement particle boards and application examples”. See:

In his short interview to the Press Service of “Belzarubezhstroy” JSC Ambassador Carlos Larrea admitted that what impressed him most about Belarus were the innovative construction technologies including the method of stay-in-place formwork promoted by “Belzarubezhstroy”. Mr. Ambassador also informed us that “in the near future it is planned to sign a large volume contract with BZS for the construction of around 100 schools. 40-60 of these schools will have to be completed by the end of 2016”.

In addition to its main purposes, BZS stand also became a platform for maintaining useful social contacts. On the picture: business conversation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ecuador Carlos Larrea (on the left) with the Honorary Consul of Ecuador in Belarus Viktor Atroshchik.

Honored guests of BZS stand – First Secretary of the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Belarus Maria Elena Rojas and coordinator of Simon Bolivar Latin American Cultural Center, diplomat, prominent musician and conductor, recipient of international Gold Baton award Gerardo Estrada

Three of the four guests do not need a translator: Maria Elena Rojas, Gerardo Estrada and Viktor Atroshchik speak Russian and Spanish perfectly well

Two years ago, in 2013, the Embassy of Venezuela highly appraised BZS stand, please see: The actualized stand of 2015 was also received well, as it clearly demonstrates the achievements of cooperation between Belarus and Venezuela and implementation of the ideas of the Eternal Comandante Hugo Chavez… The stand title “Together towards a common goal” is not contrived, but it is symbolic, especially in the light of today’s geopolitical conflicts.

Common photo of the honored guests of BZS stand. As can be seen from the picture, the diplomats of the Embassies of Venezuela and Ecuador were satisfied with the visit.

Honored guest of BZS stand - Secretary General of the International Union of Architects Mr. Thomas Vonier (on the right) – has also appraised highly the work that has been done by BZS architects, designers and builders.

Head of Certification Department of “Belzarubezhstroy” JSC Mikhail Gursky is telling Tatiana Homchik, a specialist of his department: “This is the Belarusian-Venezuelan construction site in Palo Negro, where I worked for three years”.

In the beginning, First Deputy General Director of “Belzarubezhstroy” JSC Alexander Falevich was a visitor of BZS stand, and then …

… he became a guide. On the left: Russian chief executive of Technonicol corporation Evgeniy Bakhmutov (area manager for Northwestern Federal District and the Republic of Belarus). Evgeniy Bakhmutov showed interest in the permanent formwork technology which is promoted by BZS and is already in demand although there is almost one month till the official opening of our cement particle board plant in Krichev

At the end of the Architecture Festival the specialists of BZS Design Department were awarded diplomas of the laureates of XVII National Competition for the Best Architectural Piece 2014-2015 in “High-rise (over 3 floors) residential buildings” category for “Akvamarin” Residential complex on Filimonova str. in Minsk. The following persons participated in the awards ceremony which took place in the Palace of the Republic: Head of Architectural Planning Department of “Belzarubezhstroy” Alexey Tikhonchuk (on the far left) and Head of Design Department of “Belzarubezhstroy” Vadim Drazhin (third on the right).

At the time this reportage was being prepared for publication, BZS stand was still open. All those who did not have a chance to see it, can still visit it, as the exposition in the Upper Town will continue till 13th of September

The stand is easy to find, it is located opposite Patio Pizza café, between the City Hall and Minsk Holy Spirit Cathedral. Looking forward to seeing you!
