"Binos" specialist: Anatoly Evseenko, Klaus Mojaevsky and Alexey Noifeld
October 5, Krichev /Sergei Kulyagin - BELTA/. Today JSV "Belzarubezhstroy" has opened a plant in Krichev producing cement-bonded particle boards (CBPB) for the construction industry of Belarus, reports the correspondent of BELTA.
The Minister of Architecture and Construction Anatoly Cherny, the Director General of JSV "Belzarubezhstroy" Vitali Bondarik and the representatives of the Austrian the partner and project investor VST Building Technologies AG took part in the official ceremony.
The plant was built in the premises of the former meat packing plant in Krichev, situated at the parcel of land with total area of about 17 ha. The office and production buildings were renovated and reconstructed. The imported equipment was installed. This plant will produce CPBP using the technology developed by BINOS company, Germany. The main advantages of the new technology are high speed and quality of construction, energy efficiency of buildings and a wide range of geographical distribution.
"This is a really momentous event for the construction industry of the region and of the whole Belarus. Three years ago a commemorative sign was erected announcing the beginning of the plant construction, and today we see a contemporary enterprise. Simultaneously with the construction of the plant the houses were being built in the country using the new technology, but with the imported materials. Now that we have our own cement-bonded particle boards, we will be able to considerably reduce the costs of residential building erection, boost the construction and increase the export of building materials", - the Minister of Architecture and Construction emphasized.
The creation of this plant was motivated by the fast pace of residential and industrial and civil construction in Belarus, and the need for new ways of modernization of the construction industry, for cutting expenses. Production facilities producing "sandwich" panels were created with the help of the Austrian company VST Building Technologies AG in Brest, Mogilev and Bobruysk. But until now we’ve been purchasing CBPB for the panels from abroad. After this plant is put into operation, we’ll solve the problem of providing the new building materials for the domestic market. Besides we are planning to export more than 25% of CBPB both to the CIS countries and to the European Union.
The Director General of JSV "Belzarubezhstroy" Vitali Bondarik in his turn noted that construction of the plant became a historic project for the company. "We hope that this facility will become, so to say, a stepping stone for the development of cooperation and implementation of new construction projects in Belarus and abroad with our partner – the Austrian company VST Building Technologies AG. We believe in the successful future and plan to realize a number of joint projects in Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Ecuador, Algeria and other countries. This plant has to become a successful example of the new construction system in Belarus", - the director general said with confidence.
Two trucks loaded with the CBPB left for the EU and for a Belarusian construction company, followed by the applause of the event participants.
The investment project was financed from own funds and foreign investment. There will be 200 new jobs when the plant reaches its full capacity (60,000 cub m per year). According to the perspective development plan, the productive capacity is to be increased to 100,000 cub m per year. CBPB plant construction is the first step of Belarusian-Austrian integrated program; the second step will be construction of VST permanent shuttering manufacturing facility.
The site for construction of the CBPB plant in Krichev was not chosen at random: it is close to the forested area (the plant is supplied with timber by the nearest wood cutting companies) and to the main raw material supplier (7 km) – cement plant in Krichev. Using of local raw materials allows to reduce manufacturing costs and to comply with the government import substitution program. Proximity to the Russian border and two railway branches in the eastern direction allow to minimize transportation costs for the export of products to the Russian Federation.
JSV "Belzarubezhstroy" and VST Building Technologies AG established "CBPB BZS" JLLC for this investment project, and leased out the premises of the former meat-packing factory, which is now owned by “Belzarubezhstroy”.
JSV "Belzarubezhstroy" is one of the largest construction and investment companies in Belarus. It was established in 2007 for the export of construction works and engineering services abroad.
VST Building Technologies AG (Austria) is the European leading developer of construction technologies, and also the know-how owner of the innovative VST permanent shuttering construction technology.
